smoky mike

...that this was the only damage done in the aftermath of my accidental microwave fire.  unless you count the house smelling like burnt popcorn meets bbq s'mores.  i was only trying to disinfect the sponge.  i guess i'm not an accidental housewife after all.

i like to move it move it

...that no one mistook me for an extra from 'madagascar' at the strawberry festival this weekend.  every summer i try and find a fun pair of sunnies to add to my collection.  i tell my husband the bigger buggy ones protect my delicate eyes.  he'll thank me in 50 years.

i looked thrilled

...that i can file this under "math trainings i never have to attend again."  um... real world applications of estimation i can get behind, but this toilet paper mummy felt like a bridal shower gone terribly, terribly wrong.  for the record, my team was only 10' short in our estimation.  and i'm wearing a bulky sweater.

it's box of fun

...for pretending to be trendy.  once a month, my birchbox arrives with all kinds of girlyness.  it can be hit or miss (february's stick on eyeliner just felt wrong, pun intended), but this month was a gem.  facewash, gold nail polish, eyeliner and hair samples?  don't mind if i do.

paging donna read

...for a library checkout my husband can totally get behind.  because, just maybe, i accidentally looked underneath our kitchen work table and saw that the steam mop doesn't quiiiite make it all the way back there.  shudder.

she's a lady

...for feeling very ladylike today at work.  somewhere, my grandmother is nodding her head in approval.
